Nickel silver, also known as German silver, is a copper-based alloy containing:
Copper (Cu) – ~50–65%
Nickel (Ni) – ~10–25%
Zinc (Zn) – ~10–25%
It has no actual silver, but gets its name from its silvery appearance.
Good corrosion resistance
Excellent mechanical strength
Dimensional stability
Uniform grain structure
Moderate conductivity
Good surface finish after etching
